Kingston Maurward House
country-house · gardens · historic
A Georgian country house and gardens near Dorchester with licensed indoor rooms and outdoor ceremony locations. Published indoor ceremony capacities reach 100, with smaller state-room choices also available.
Kingston Maurward House is a Georgian country-house venue near Dorchester, set within formal gardens and wider estate grounds. Licensed indoor ceremony rooms include the Conference and Pengelly rooms for up to 100, the entrance hall for 95 and the Whatmoor Room for 60. Outdoor licensed locations provide further choices, subject to the agreed weather plan.
The authority listing describes exclusive use of the state rooms and suites, parking and disabled access. As room capacities and reception layouts differ, couples should ask the venue to confirm the intended flow from ceremony to drinks, dining and evening entertainment. They should also establish which public or educational parts of the wider estate remain in use during the booking.
The wedding brochure available online contains 2025 pricing, so Acre does not carry those expired figures into a 2026 listing. The current price is therefore Venue to confirm. Accommodation is not claimed without first-party confirmation. At a viewing, check the route between your chosen rooms and ask where guests would gather if an outdoor element moves inside.
