Marine Theatre

A historic theatre beside the sea in Lyme Regis, available for whole-venue exclusive hire. Official information lists ceremonies or seated events up to 220, dining up to 124 and standing celebrations up to 394.
Marine Theatre is a historic performance venue beside the sea in Lyme Regis, offering a wedding setting with stage, auditorium and views towards Lyme Bay. The official hire information lists up to 220 for a ceremony or seated theatre format, 124 for dining and 394 standing. Dorset Council’s directory shows a lower overall figure, so couples should ask the venue to confirm the licensed limit for their exact layout and date.
Whole-venue exclusive hire is described from 9am to midnight, with two bars, a stage and technical equipment supported by a technician. That makes it particularly suited to couples who value live performance or a theatrical evening. It is a town-centre venue rather than an accommodation-led estate, so travel, parking and nearby bedrooms need separate planning.
The venue describes pricing as flexible and quotation-based, with no current standard wedding figure published on the pages reviewed. Acre therefore records Venue to confirm. A local DT7 discount may apply, but it is not presented as a base price. If live music is part of your plans, discuss the stage layout, sound requirements and supplier access with the technical team.
